LiaBraaten’s first full-length solo concerts were his Junior Recital and Senior Recital, each comprised of three parts: 1. Act One, where LiaBraaten displayed his prodigious classical musical talents by performing difficult and captivating classical music by Liszt, Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, Mozart, Debussy, and so forth, 2. Intermission, where LiaBraaten’s art was showcased in the hallways for the public to view and to purchase, and 3. Act Two, where LiaBraaten displayed his remarkable talents as singer-songwriter, which incorporated arrangements for piano and voice by LiaBraaten, bass by Laura Baratto and percussion and drum kit by Dean Davich.
While at Hibbing High School LiaBraaten partnered with Vern Wenberg, Sr. on a number of collaborations, including Hibbing Winter Frolic Coronation and productions of Fiddler on the Roof at Ironworld U.S.A. in Chisholm MN.
